On Zeus, Hercules, and Jason

Kicking off a new series, these books—geared toward readers with no background in mythology—recap the most famous myths surrounding their subjects. Jason is the best of the three; the story of the Argonauts is clear and incorporates quotes from Euripides, Homer, and Apollonius, as well as modern scholars. The photographs in all three books are excellent, depicting statues and paintings that tie into the myths. Pronunciations are provided within the text.
